This site is new for me. My PD is newly diagnosed but I also had Polio as a child and my walking has been pretty much confined to level areas since then. I keep wondering how the nerve damage caused by the Polio relates to PD damage? I remember the stiffness in neck, shoulders and lower body that I had during "recovery".at that time. My life has been sort of normal and am still going strong with the exception of shaking and croaking into my 70s.
