Welcome to the world of Parkinson's It is a place you don't want to be.
Every PWP is different in terms of disease progression and reaction to Meds.
What your dad is experiencing is not unheard of. Sinemet doesn't help me
much at all, in fact I quit taking it for several years til I had my DBS
brain surgeries, but I just have slight dyskinesias My neuro, like most,
wants me to take something. Some people are helped greatly.
Alternatives? Drug experimentation is no fun,but his neuro will probably
want to do that. although they usually try agonists first then Sinemet or
Carbidopa/Levidopa as last resort.
