Dear Gio, I am a physician with PD for 16 yr. and I have had DBS for the past 6 yrs.. MAY 1999. I have had good results with minimal off and on periods and no dyskinesia . I have however lost my mobility to an extent and am confined to a motorized wheelchair, Unfortunately the disease process goes on in spite of the releif the DBS gives initially. Also I wonder whether you know Alessandro Pelossio who was part of this list about 7-8 years ago. We had exchanged visits and got to be good friends. I lost touch with him. He lives in Rome and is an Internal Medicine physician. He had been active in the Italian Parkinson's association.
