Carrie, I can shed no light on the weight question, but I pass along this recipe for a low-fat high-calorie drink: in a blender or food processor, whir a cup of milk, a third of a cup of nonfat dry powdered milk, a banana, and a dash of vanilla, plus some honey if you like. You can vary the flavorings and fruit. I hope the mystery of your weignt loss will be cleared up and the explanation will be something benign. And may a great job come your way! Has anyone experienced rapid, unexplained weight loss (or gain, I suppose) and then at some point in the future been diagnosed with PD? It seems to me that my dad gained a lot of weight maybe a couple of years prior to being dx's. And I have lost 35 pounds in a very short amount of time. I used to weigh between 115 and 120. Right now I think I am around 82. I am currently wearing children's size 12 and it is way too big. I have had all kinds of tests done - I have a 9-page blood report, all normal; they cannot find anything wrong with me and I don't have an other PD symptoms. But, being the paranoid person that I am, I had to ask... Meanwhile, I am desperately trying to gain weight, force feeding myself a minimum of 2000 calories per day. Last weekend, I was able to gain about 5 pounds and by Wednesday it was gone. Imagine trying to find something suitable to wear to work when you are nearly 50 years old in the CHILDREN'S department. lol Oh, and I am interviewing for jobs. I had to go buy a skirt at the school uniform shop because that was the only place I could find one long enough to be appropriate. oy.
