Peggy, this would probably not be an option for your mom due to her age, but
after my DBS brain surgeries I no longer take anti-anxiety medication
(chlorazepate, a benzodiazepine, sp?) except to help me sleep at night.
Glad she is responding to Sinemet, it doesn't help me.  I'll bet your doc
would prescribe some kind of anti-anxiety medication for her.
