I think you'll be safe In Iowa considering you are now living on a shifting
volcanic plate. Lex Luther may have been right about buying beach front
property in the desert.   As for Doom & Gloom, you'll be glad to know that
scientist don't think the super volcano magna underneath Yellowstone Park is
going to blow up anytime soon (that's in geological time) blanketing the
continent with sulphuric ash.  On the negative side, the artic glaciers are
melting at an increasingly progressive rate, which means that the Atlantic
conveyor belt my soon come to a halt and precipitate another Ice Age across
North America and Europe, so Las Vegas might be just the place.  Good luck.
