Dee, Theresa and Gerry:

I too voted Republican until the Iraq War and Bush's war on science.  I
don't like being the collateral damage in that war on science and I'm not
going to roll over and die quietly.

I never argued politics with friends/relatives until  Bush  came along.  I
supported McCain in 2000 and was uneasy about voting for Bush because he
didn't seem too intelligent, but I was a Republican and told myself he had
smart people , like Colin Powell, around him.  Ha! Ha!  Note good soldier
Powell is no longer around.

These issues are just too important to be quiet about.  In the last 4+ years
I have lost 2 younger friends to cancer, my mom died, and I'm not saying
they could have been saved or I will be cured, but it is just inexcusable
too lose all this research time.  And yes, I do use the word "hate" when
even thinking about Bush.  His smirking face makes my blood boil.

This is what I get for supporting the indefensible.   Never again, I hope.
