Dee, Theresa and Gerry: I too voted Republican until the Iraq War and Bush's war on science. I don't like being the collateral damage in that war on science and I'm not going to roll over and die quietly. I never argued politics with friends/relatives until Bush came along. I supported McCain in 2000 and was uneasy about voting for Bush because he didn't seem too intelligent, but I was a Republican and told myself he had smart people , like Colin Powell, around him. Ha! Ha! Note good soldier Powell is no longer around. These issues are just too important to be quiet about. In the last 4+ years I have lost 2 younger friends to cancer, my mom died, and I'm not saying they could have been saved or I will be cured, but it is just inexcusable too lose all this research time. And yes, I do use the word "hate" when even thinking about Bush. His smirking face makes my blood boil. This is what I get for supporting the indefensible. Never again, I hope.
