Well, after interviewing many different companies, I think (fingers crossed) that we finally found someone that will agree to come out to Mom & Dads. She is supposed to start on Sept. 12 and work Tues, Wed, Thurs and every other weekend. So that will at least give some of us a break a couple times a week. We'll see, the last 2 companies we hired never showed up and sent us all scrambling. Mom is totally losing confidence in herself and we're all working overtime trying to tell her how helpful she is in dealing with Grandma (and actually she is, I couldn't do what needs to be done if she wasn't there to help). My sister contacted Mom's minister and she's come out to the house and her fellow parishioners are going to help with meals and such. Since I wrote my original post, Grandma's had a couple of small strokes that really scared the heck out of all of us, but apparently this was to be expected and usually signals the beginning of the end. I'm thinking that as long as Mom's minister is becoming involved I might let off of the support group idea. The important thing is that she has someone to talk to that she feels won't be judging her. Either way we'll continue to muddle thru. Thanks for all the caring responses. I'll check in and give updates as things progress.
