First, how could this lady ever have gotten elected to congress in the
first place?  I thought belief in the God of the Bible was a litmus
test for holding public office.

To me, an atheist, I have no objection with people who do believe in a
god.  What I object to strongly is the attempt to force the existance
of such god to be codified in the nation's laws.  There are many
reasonable believers out there who realize that for themselves and
everybody else in America, the cause of their own religious freedom is
best served by strictly adhering to separation of church and state.

After all, it's not about keeping "God out of government".  It's about
keeping YOUR god out of MY government.
