For what it's worth neither I nor any kids I know have ever seen or done
a "five-paragraph essay."  The only time I've ever heard of such a beast
has been at writing conferences, where they're sometimes mentioned, as
one does Lucifer, to keep them / it at bay.

I'm interested to read that this was the case. When I came to 
this other planet, it seemed to me I had _escaped_ the 5pe and 
the constraints of writing texts. 

But of course that was a _long_ time ago.
