Ervin, my very first dose of Sinemet was just great, but it never helped again. Strange. When I have tried it and Stalevo again and again I get dyskinesias in my chest muscles and no help.. I also had a F-DOPA PET scan from UCLA which said I was "consistent with PD'" The DBSs only helped my bilateral tremors and straightened out permanently my left foot turning inward from dystonia. I can barely walk, talk or use my hands. have fallen several times, but not recently. I am a strange case. DBS is also used for essential tremor and if I didn't have all these other PD symptoms I would think that is what I have. But on the first dose I felt normal, could walk normally, etc. "On" and "off" to me means are my neurostimulators on or off.
