Hello Glenn -- Mirapex can cause the side effects you described. Some people adjust to it after taking the medication for awhile and those side effects dwindle. Others don't tolerate it well. Mirapex can also have disturbing side effects such as compulsive behaviors (gambling, sex, shopping, eating) and has destroyed or nearly destroyed lives. While it can be a good drug for some, for others it can prove devastating. It is very important with Mirapex to keep close watch on how it affects you individually.
