Bob, sorry for not making myself clear.  I think Bush's anti-science
position includes his restrictive stance on stem cell research which MIGHT
someday help PWP and others who suffer from incurable diseases..  The
teaching of ID or creationism in a science class is a part of that war on
science., which is costing years of research and millions of  lives.

It has been noted in the media that Americans are "scientifically
challenged" because science education here in the US is poor.  KF, Charlie,
and others have taken the time to explain to us what science is about.
Don't you think that people slowly dying of an incurable disease should be
better educated about science,  or should we just trust our leader, who
thinks he is directed by God?

Although Bush exhibits little understanding of anything, I'm thinking he's
taking this position because he gets votes.  Surely, he can't be as
uncompassionate as he seems.  Help will come only with leaders friendly to
and knowledgeable about science.
