Yes, Ray, I can see the value in it. My mom is a righty, had a stroke on her right side, and now her therapists are encouraging her to try to draw with her left. She had been studying painting for about 20 years, and I and my sibs all have her works in our homes. There is a wealth of piano pieces for left hand. Leon Fleischer is the most prominent LH specialist. He had some kind of nerve problem in his right hand and became well known for playing such monstrously difficult pieces as Ravel's LH concerto. Now it appears Mr. Fleischer has regained the use of his right hand and his career continues to flourish. Curiously, there are relatively few pieces for right hand alone. I'm glad it's not the other way around, 'cause my symptoms mainly effect my right side. Enjoy Fall!
