"Maybe tolerance can be taught." This has little to do with PD directly but there is a wonderful publication called "Teaching Tolerance". It's published by the Southern Poverty Law Center (www.splcenter.org) for teachers to use as a resource in teaching students how to get along with those of other ethnic groups. SPLC is a first rate org, dedicated to protecting the rights of minorities and the poor who are attacked by radical right wing groups. They also watchdog all types of hate groups and publish info on their activities and on the Center's efforts against them, which have been very successful. Founder Morris Dees is one of my heroes.
