Dee, Pennsylvania has some strong language in law against embryonic stem
cell research. Missouri is trying very hard to criminalize it, especially
nuclear transfer.

A Republican friend whose husband has Alzheimer's and is very active in the
party in CA thanked me for telling her about Prop 73 and the defining of
cells as people. She didn't like the idea that incest could be a factor in
not notifying your parents if you were a teen.

The mixing of the abortion issue with stem cell research by non-scientists
is very harmful and difficult to combat. Most people have to have a
personal stake in it to even be motivated to learn about it.
