Hi, my name is Sher and I am from Wisconsin. I have about the same story as yours, I was given several medications and had terrible reactions to them. My daughter is a RN and she is also a study director and works with many of the drug companies. She wanted me to take requip, my doctor said no, but I insisted that I wanted the medication. I was started on a small dose and have increased it a little, the results have been wonderful. I have my balance back, the tremors are 80% better and my life is so much better. I also spend lots of time with my grandchildren, this medication has given me hope that I can go back to do the things I use to do. It has been 3 months and I walk and run several miles every day and with the medication I am no longer afraid of stairs, they were a major problem for me. I would just about go into a full panic when I had to walk down stairs, for some reason the PD would made me think I couldn't get down the stairs. It was nice to hear from you,! hope you can get help and your life gets better. I was also not to crazy about taking medication, but I am really glad I gave this a try! I was diagnosed in October and feel I have had it longer with back and leg pain. I am unsteady on my feet too and get tired easily. I have a left hand tremor. After seeing an orthopedic DR. for months, I noticed the tremor and diagnosed myself online. Then waited a month for apt. with neurologist. I am on no meds and see another Dr. in Dec. in Baltimore. I want to feel better with the unsteady feeling, pain, and tremor and general shaky feeling at times. I hate to take meds and am afraid of the side effects so any info about them would be helpful. I am very active with my grandchildren. I am 63.
