Dee, I am just depressed about the whole thing. Its going on 5 years since
Bush's Solomonic decision, litigation has tied up Prop 71 in CA, a terrible
struggle is going on in 16 states.

What with the human and financial costs of man-made(Iraq) and natural
(Katrina) disasters we are low on the priority list. Last May HR 810 was
passed and still no action.

It's not like everyone gets PD or CF or ALS. Those with the rarer diseases
really have it rough.

My niece is doing a paper on the ethics of stem cell research for her
college Business Ethics class, so that will help spread the word. My CNN
article on my DBSs is being combined with a "Meet Your Neighbor"
questionnaire for the Surprise Independent local newspaper. The publicity
is good, but I think I will succumb to this disease like so many before me
before help arrives. I'd settle for meds that helped.

I can remember my mom volunteering for American Cancer Society in the '50's.
After over half a century Jerry Lewis is still telethoning for Muscular
Dystrophy.
