Exactly what I'm going thru with my 2 boys, 21 (just the other day,
12/12) and 18.  I think maybe if I put it to my 18 year old as an
algebraic equation he may pick up on it.  He has his own wierd logic,
but it may work.  OK, let's workshop this.

    (living at mom & dad's house) + (not going to school) =

 {(full time work + more chores at home) x (mom & dad's rules)}
                                             over
           (dad's PD, the common denominator)

                           or this may be better

sass + brass = ass + grass

After all, math is most profound in its simplest expressions.
