Good work, Russ. So even if the UCC/TRU institutional link doesn't work, we have the resources within our professional group to ensure that we're informed. For me, there's something symbolic here. Our professional bodies are vital to our disciplines, especially within the rhetoric, comp and professional writing community, partly because the need for writing instruction at all levels is generally much more important than most administrators in Canadian higher education allow. Writing Centres are important, as the present discussion thread emphasizes, but most of us still seem to be struggling to give broad writing instruction the institutional support it should have in our institutions.
