Hi Claire -- I was going to say that our neuro said the same thing about Permax, but since you are in Red Bluff and we are in Redding, there is a good possibility that your neuro and ours is one in the same. Dr. Evye Szanto? My husband is the one with PD. He is 58, diagnosed at age 45. I believe it is the PD drugs derived from ergot that are prone to causing heart problems. The other is bromocriptine (Parlodel).
