We never heard anything from our neurologist about many side effects of
medications.  We probably would have made some different decisions or at
least have been on the look out for problems if we had.  That's why we found
a new neuro.  DBS is not an easy thing either.  We found it an exhausting
undertaking especially when you have to travel to a place like San
Francisco.  But as you say, the choices are what they are.  Everyone should
be made aware of possible side effects of any drug or surgical procedure.  I
think that is what is behind this discussion.
