Hi, George.

David suffered from constipation due to a combination of the PD and the
meds.  He would often not have a bowel movement for a week...and the time
frame could be even more than that.  Our gastroenterologist gave David
"Lactulose."  It's a clear, somewhat sweet liquid.  Apparently, it's an
enzyme which helps the digestive process, thereby softening the stool.  It
was a miracle for David.  The recommended dose was 1 - 2 tbs/day, but David
only needed 1 tsp. for optimal results.

Ask your dr. if this would be of assistance to you.  Good luck.
