We appreciate your candor, George. This seems to be a fairly common problem. It would be good if something could be done to make manual dilation and evacuation easier for PWPs. Some have suggested botox shots or something similar in the anal sphincter muscle. From what we understand, a bowel impaction can occur after awhile so it is always good to keep an eye on the situation. That is a serious problem. We're not sure how long before going to the hospital for assistance with evacuation. Others may have more info about this.
