When my husband applied for S.S. at 60 he had *no* trouble getting it. His doctors had advised him to quit work years before he actually did - so when he sought S.S. disability they wrote up diagnostic assessments that could not be denied. Since you are entitled to S.S. at 62 anyway, I don't understand why there should be a problem.
