I think all we can do is keep on nagging people.... There is progress - the "disabled" (ugh, what a word) can demand & get acess to public places in a way that would've invited ridicule when I was a child. It may seem a detail, but action heroes in films can now be seen to wear glasses, so attitudes are growing. Also, we don't have to leave ALL study to the medics - we've got brains too - and a reason (did you ever see that film about Lorenzo's oil ?). I've got a number of books on neurology - can't do any harm to have a think, tho it's a bit depressing to realise my brain looks rather like congealed porrige :) I'm told British MPs most dread being lobbied by older people (the "grey lobby"), because of their greater experience, obstinacy and spare time..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
