There must be a difference between a foetus in a womb and an abandoned dish
with a small blob of cells in it.
My sister-in-law, who's just turned 50, has two IVF-created sons (my lovely
nephews), she'll never now use the remaining embryos (even if younger,  2 kids
was all she intended). No-one has ever asked her wha about the surplus (she
didn't know there was a surplus).
Couldn't IVF atttendees simply be asked if they're willing to donate the
surplus, like with organ donor cards ?
