Hi, Robyn, I appreciate your comments and your presence here. I feel for ya, having been stricken so early. But if you have family with MS, you must have a leg up on most of us in that you have a much greater understanding of dealing with people's perceptions and your own attitudes from the start. Hopefully you've had a primer course on some of the useless "why me"- type thinking that I was trapped in, and will avoid some of the time-wasting depression I went through, and hopefully it won't devastate you when people look at you funny and when your "friends" stop calling. Knowing who your true friends are is a blessing and interesting in its revelations. Actually, the plus side of being stricken early is that your body has greater capacity to heal and build itself (with your help, of course).
