Hi, Don. I can empathize with your situation, because my husband, David, has had PD for 38 years...and probably more. We've been married for 40 years. He's now 69, but will be 70 March 30. It's been a long, long road for both of us. He had DBS 3.5 years ago, and now needs surgery to change the batteries. The disease is progressing, but it's difficult to tell how much is due to the dead batteries of the DBS receptors. We'll know soon enough. Keep up the good fight, Don. David and I are taking a cruise to Europe at the end of April. I refuse to let PD defeat us. As long as he's still capable of travelling (with lots of assistance, of course), I want to do it.
