Carol, I taught in East LA and the Wilmington LA Harbor area and we had a great educational program for inner city kids. My students passed college level AP history exams and are successful professionals with advanced degrees themselves, plus they are good people who have a strong sense of civic responsibility. One is doing PD research. Private schools don't require degrees or credentials and the pay is even worse than in the public schools. I don't think you're necessarily going to get a better education there. We need to support our public schools, especially in math and science, Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Kerr" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2006 5:36 AM Subject: Re: NCLB > NCLB is some kind of hazard - to public educaions continued existence. > carol > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: > mailto:[log in to unmask] > In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
