Maria, welcome to this list.  I would suggest that you also consider joining
the CARE list that is a sister to this one - it will help you sort out the
care issues that are so common to Parkinson's care givers.

Please also consider searching the Web for a movement disorder specialist in
your area.  These neurologists have a finer understanding of Parkinson's
Disease and (hopefully) will be more considerate of your need for
information.

The wide majority of people on this list have had similar experiences with
neurologists who have been ineffective and unresponsive to the needs of PWP
(people with Parkinson's) and their caregivers.  Personally, we have gone
through 4 neurologists until we found one that was concerned and caring.
Please know that we understand the stress and confusion you are experiencing
right now.  You are in our prayers.
