I don't know about you, but I'm getting so sick of these moralizing people
trying to tell me (and mine) what I can or cannot do as long as I'm not
harming another person. Who are they to say whether or not my husband can
have a chance at life? Or, heaven forbid, my children---in case that PD is
a hereditary disease. I don't believe that a religious leader or some
holier-than-thou group has the right to inhibit research that can repair a
life. If stem cell research can hold the cure for many neurological
diseases, then go for it...especially if the stem cells are not killing
another human (read "fetus"). If these stem cells are to be put in the
garbage, or if they're manufactured another way, I cannot conceive of a
greater waste than for them not to be used to better humankind.

I understand that lots of people have negative opinions about the use of the
above.... To them, I say, "Then don't use the meds that develop from these
experiments if you or yours should become ill...and these meds are
recommended to you on the chance they might cure you." In the meantime,
don't interfere with the millions of people who stand to gain from this
research. It's truly NOT YOUR BUSINESS.

OK...I'll get off my soap box now.

Bev
