This is what I have been saying. Jehovah's Witnesses don't prevent me from
getting a blood transfusion and Christian Scientists don't keep me from
seeing a doctor. But because of Bush and his "religious right" base we must
struggle and fight them as well as PD. They are crafty, well-organized and
dedicated to stalling research. A few actually suffer from disease and
disability and they have managed to make the "choice" for all of us. Prop
71 passed in CA over 2 years ago. We are now fighting state by state,
winning some, losing others while research goes on elsewhere. This is good,
but not everyone is physically and financially able to travel abroad for
help.
It is difficult to express how outraged I am that we are even discussing
this. It is especially bad for me today as I am suffering from 2 raging
toothaches while worrying about the effect the dentist's drill may have on
my neurotransmitter implants or whether the teeth can just be extracted. If
my brain does not get "fried" today I will continue to fight as long as I
can.
In my opinion more people need to get on a soap box, not less, Ray
