Hi, Ray. I must say you're being quite generous and kind to this dentist. I'm so sorry you had to go through this! Apparently, he has a touch of a mack truck. He reminds me of a dentist who, I believe, is a bit sadistic. He was filling in for my own dentist who was away, but I had an small emergency. I told him that my teeth were/are extremely sensitive, because that's where all my nervous tension comes out. TMJ "R" Us. He said that I'd have no problem with the procedure, but I almost bit his hand, the pain was so nasty. He didn't even use any Novacaine! When I yelled that he better not touch me again, he finally relented and gave me the shots. It took 4 shots of Novacaine to deaden the "painless" procedure. What a shnook he was. Turns out, he's the son of the dentist who owns the (mega) practice. Everyone cow-tows to him. Not I, thank you. That was the last time he ever saw me, for sure. I later told my original dentist of the experience, and apparently he was "talked to"...yeah, right. This guy has no business being in a position to hurt anyone. As to the blood clot: my mother had a HUGE hematoma on her elbow while in the hospital. Her entire arm was darker than black-and-blue. She was given moist heat packs to help dissolve the clot. The doctors told her that it would go away in a week, but it was so painful that she needed the heat packs. They were very comforting. Has anyone suggested any treatment to you?
