The Michael J. Fox website re-launched today with a clean new look and easier to navigate website. http://www.michaeljfox.org/ I had noticed that the website had disappeared when we crawled the site last with the PIENO search engine. Terms entered into the search boxes at PIENO automatically search the Parkinsn Archives and 40 other PD Organization sites, the NIH and NINDS. Unlike the commercial search engines which only search certain pages of a site, PIENO search crawls the whole sites every week. With any search, you can focus your results if you remember to put Phrases in double quotes around multiple words that have to appear in that order in results. A bunch of words on the search line will return pages that have the words anywhere on the page and probably not in the context you are looking for. For those not familiar with the acronym PIENO, that stands for Parkinsons Information Exchange Network Online which is the long name for our Parkinsn list. Our archives since 1993 are searchable and available for browsing at: http://www.parkinsons-information-exchange-network-online.com/archiveindex/ If that URL does't work in your email program, this one will: http://tinyurl.com/nmv6n The current messages posted as soon as the Listserv distributes them are at: http://www.parkinsons-information-exchange-network-online.com/maillist.html Email messages sent to parkinsn from 6 AM to 2 AM are distributed after 2 AM Eastern Time. Sorry for the mission creep but I just wanted to tell you about Michael's site and I got carried away. :) John Cottingham co-owner Parkinsn Owner PIENO ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
