Scott, as you know, many neurological diseases resemble one another. Kuru is very far removed from PD but practically the same as Mad Cow and Cruezfeld/Jacob disease. Because we have sheep, I am very concerned about prion diseases, one of which is Scrapie that afflicts sheep. Since Scrapie *might* be related Mad Cow disease (due to poor rendering of sheep carcasses in British feed plants), the United States has set into motion a program to eliminate those sheep genetics that cause sheep to be susceptible to the disease. The program is essentially a genocide - leaving many shepherds scratching their heads as to why their non-infected sheep have been destroyed. I might add that Scrapie is very rare. ---------- God bless Mary Ann (CG Jamie 66/26 with PD) Incidentally, Jamie developed PD *before* we ever had sheep. www.bentwillowfarm.org When I first > saw a film of kuru victims, I thought, "That looks amazingly like PD!" > Still, > the treatments are quite different. Nothing surprises me anymore, though. > Scott -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
