The good news: Prof. George W. Tuma, co-editor of Medieval Forum, is
retiring from San Francisco State University this fall. The sad
news: Medieval Forum is retiring with him, so Volume 6 will be the
final issue.

We are therefore extending the submission deadline to November 30, so
that anyone who has been thinking of submitting an article to
Medieval Forum will have one last chance. Volume 6 will appear in
late January.

The journal will continue to be accessible through San Francisco
State and LOCKSS, the electronic archival system sponsored by
Stanford, and articles are indexed in MLA, so contributions will live
on.

MF is dedicated to providing a venue for the free exchange of ideas
in a collegial, public forum environment. Critical essays on works
from any genre or period of the medieval corpus are invited, and a
humanistic orientation is encouraged. Although the focus of MF is on
literature, articles from other disciplines, particularly cultural
and historical, that will contribute to the study of literature are
welcome. Book reviews are also invited.

We look forward to receiving submissions that will make Volume 6 a
memorable finale. Visit our website for submission guidelines:
