Carline took Amantadine and it helped, but there is an unfortunate side effect: The ankles swell and the skin gets thin, red and ugly. Looks like it wants to break open. There is also some discomfort in the ankle area. Carline had to discontinue taking it. The neuro claimed there is no such side effect but the literature says that there is. She tried it again, same thing. There are comments in the archives also on this problem. K.
