basically, 40 years of research into fixing levodopa's problems has
reduced nausea, reduced the frequency of dosing, and added less than an
hour of on time per day - oh, and it has also resulted in a four-fold
increase in the risk of dyskinesias.

be sure to read the package insert if you are contemplating starting a
levodopa product - incidence of dyskinesias is 60% higher with sinemet
than with levodopa (you would actually have to go to pubmed for that
info because sinemet came out so long ago statistics like that have long
since been revised out of the product insert); the incidence of
dyskinesias is 35% higher with sinemet cr than with sinemet; and the
incidence of dyskinesias is 75% higher with stalevo than with sinemet
cr.

that is not what i call progress.
