Hi, My husband has been diagnosed with pd for about 3 months now.
Everything is confusing for us, all these different meds and medical terms,
I guess we have a lot to learn. I just read your posting about the asprin
and tylenol for the pain, and the ibyprophen. My husband cant take the iby
because it can ruin the kidneys, he has only one kidney and had been taking
ibys for years for pack pain and now his kidney isnt functioning properly.
The dr. never told him about this side affect. Anyhow, I just wanted to
mention this to anyone taking ibyprophen long term, be careful of it.
                                                                        Judy

David Aspirin is wonderful, but it eats the walls of the stomach. I
have a friend that used to take 6-10 aspirin a day and then had emergency
surgery. My neurologist says no to aspirin and take Tylenol or Advil
instead. Just plain iburprofen is good too. Aspirin did nothing when I
had a hematoma and I took extra strength Tylenol. I take a regular
aspirin when I can't sleep. It helps to know that I am not alone with
pain. How long have you lived with PD?
