The American Parkinson Disease Association’s (APDA) Young-Onset Newsletter in the Summer, 2006 edition features an article entitled “Impulse Control Disorders in PD,” by Greg Pontone, MD, a psychiatrist and researcher at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The article addresses issues related to the most common impulse control disorders in PD including pathological gambling, excessive spending and hypersexuality.
