Mary Ann, of course it is about a moral issue, unfortunately and absolutely
there are no absolutes. What concerns me is that some folks feel it is OK to
send our children off to be placed in harm's way. Yet they show no protest
for that issue, they show no support for issues concerning the children
themselves, i.e. education, school meals, health care.

Unfortunately the same self righteous folks can justify their position on
Stem Cells by believing in the potential of a human being, in spite of
different definitions of such. But little interest is paid to what happens
after Birth or unused embryonic cells that are wasted away.

Yes, Mary Ann it is indeed a moral issue. As far as I know no adult is
forced to take medications, have surgery, read books, get an education,
those are choices made by us. And suppose we find a cure for Parkinson's or
any other disease using stem cells, one can decide to be treated or not.

That is a personal moral choice, just as eating chocolates.

My moral choice is to respect your moral choice.

Bernie

Sorry, Ray. The issue has to do with using *potential* human beings, not
just cells.
There is a moral issue here, whether you think so or not.
