Steven: Prentice's list is NOT ACCURATE. PARKINSON'S DISEASE IS NOT BEING TREATED WITH ASCs. Dennis Turner's PD returned. The other 2 citations for Parkinson's on the Prentice list include non stem-cell trials - Amgen's aborted GDNF infusion therapy trials for Parkinson's. There have been only 9 "cures" using ASCs in 40 years for some blood disorders and cancers. If you object to ESCR on religious grounds it shouldn't matter how successful ASCR is. You use it to try to disguise your lack of compassion for living suffering human beings, by offering us these crumbs.. No wonder ESCR has not cured a single patient; stem cell lines were first isolated in 1998 and the research has been blocked ever since. X-rays also caused tumors when they were first utilized. I know one thing - when a cure is found for one disease, say diabetes, you're toast!!! You folks do nothing to dispel the notion that ESCR involves dismembering and murdering babies, that human fetuses are being chopped up. Also, the "cloning" in Amendment 2 refers the duplication of cells, not people. Your goal is not to help sick people, but to outlaw abortion, a different issue, but if you can make ESCR and abortion the same thing, abortion would be easier to outlaw. Just please stop lying about how ASCs treat Parkinson's. I have had PD over 10 years now and know people who participated in the Amgen trials, I called not only Dennis Turner, but his surgeon Dr. Levesque at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles before I had my 2 DBS brain surgeries in 2003. I was not encouraged by his office to take part in his experiments, but to have DBS. And stop attacking our Michael J. Fox, it doesn't become you.
