I have been treating the Parkinson condition since 1997. The first years did not pose a problem. A little forethought and I was "on" 12 hours out of 16. Now I have similar experience that PWP's have with the medications and timing after 5 or 6 years.

It does seem that the regular use of small amounts of meds works better than the full dose. I have gone back to the neurologist every few months to find out the reason for the bad side effects mostly the shaking arms and overheating. Each time he has recommended reducing the sinement and adding a supplementary med. There seems to be no way for the body to store the meds. I find it difficult to use a previous days results as a measure of how and when to use the small doses of sinement.

I sometimes take 3 or 4 hours to get the shakes under control. The other condition that I don't understand is rapid change from "off" to "on". I can sense the different feeling in a period of 20 minuets. When in the "off" condition I believe that a PWP has difficulty with movements that you learn as a child. The part of the brain has stored such movement as tying shoes, etc. is in a diminished state.
