Ned, I have one of those electric full size beds that operates like a hospital bed. My brother can get anything at a garage sale and he got it for me several years ago. I can sleep almost sitting up or at any angle. Also, Maxine Krugman sent me her husband's (insertible between mattresses) bed rail after he died which also helps. I recommend it highly as I also have GERD and a hiatal hernia. The only trouble I have is my neurotransmitters in my chest hanging out too far when I sleep on either side..
