Emily
I also have extreme fatigue associated with Parkinson's
disease. Wellbutrine XL took care of the apathy and rage, but even
though I felt good I interested in doing things, But I lacked the
energy to go to work every day. I lacked mental focus when I was run
down and was a dangerous driver ( thank fully I never hurt anyone).
My Neuro. started me on 100mg of Provigil to help with mental acuity.
It works well for that and sleepy ness but not for the overwhelming
fatigue. What appears to be working for that is 600 mg of Coenzyme
Q10, plus 359 mg of mixed tocopherols with 26.9 iu's of vitamin E.
and 1800 mg of Ashwaganda ( it's an East Indian herb). All that twice
a day. It seems like a lot of capsules to take and it's not cheap but
it's been worth it.
I can shoot a two day archery tournament with out
loosing focus or fatiguing out. It takes a couple of days to
recover, but I can still do those things I enjoy. It's not just the
supplements that allow me to shoot though. I have a Bi-lateral Deep
Brain Stimulator and take 1mg of Azilect. to treat the traditional
symptoms of PD.

Sincerely Chris Tittle

P.S. I only take Provigil if I'm going to be driving, shooting or
something that requires alertness. In addition Provigili is an off
label prescription for PD. In order to get my prescription plan to
pay for it, my Neuro. had to prescribe it "for mental dullness". I
wasn't thrilled with that, but it worked
