Debbie,

After my original neuro (Gerold Mikszewski) left I moved to Linda Sigmund in
Fairfax. In addition to a similar treatment philosophy as my original neuro
she is very big in the Parkinson's community. However, I'm not happy. I
don't like her bedside manner. I'm not saying it's bad. I just don't like
it. I gather she has thousands of patients who adore her. I've recently
developed a whole new (potential) Parkinson's symptom that is preventing me
from driving. She gave me orders for a bunch of tests and sent me on my
way. She didn't explain the suspected cause or whether there was any way to
deal with it. I'm sitting here wondering if I will ever drive again. I've
scoured the internet but I've seen no mention of it.

So it looks like I too will be mounting a search again. It's awful. I've
got to find someone who is both competent and who can get along with a
crochety old guy and his annoyed wife.

Actually, I should count my blessings. I changed jobs about a year and a
half ago. I went from a one hundred person company to a 165,000 persson
company that is meticulous in its dealings with diversity including
ADA'ers. Three and one half more years I will be entitled to a pension.
That pension and the 12 bucks I have saved will make for a tolerable
retirement.

Sorry, I didn't me to ramble on. When I get back from vacation, I'm going
to casually keep my eyes open for a new neuro.

PD Meds: Mirapex approx 2mg /day, Sinemet 8x25/100 /day, Gabapentin approx
1 lb. Tons of supplements.

Ron - careful with the supplements - natural and harmless are not the same
word & some may react with the drugs.
Plus, I suspect a reaction to a surplus of iron tablets may have triggered
my pd...
