Debbie,

I just got off of Azilect. It was a little more expensive than Mirapex.
When I started Azilect, I cut my Mirapex load in half (from 4 mg to 2 mg
/day). I loved Azilect. However, I had two minor car accidents that might
have been due to acute high blood pressure and my Dr told me to stop it. A
week after I stopped, I had a much more serious car accident. So it
probably wan't the Azilect after all.

However, I've got a new neuro and she's doesn't appear so interested in
using Azilect.  Not sure why.

My new neuro suspects that my accidents are due to a symptom of PD. Not
sure what this symptom is supposed to be. The closest way to describe it is
a very brief blackout while driving. I didn't know I had this blackout
until 2 secs before I whacked the stopped car in front of me. Up until
then, everything seemed fine. I had my foot on the brake applying pressure
as usual when suddenly I was either too close or too fast. Anyone else
encountered a problem like this?
