David never had a negative reaction to Amantadine. The experience was
generally positive: when the dyskinesia symptoms began, he'd take an
Amantadine pill and the symptoms would cease within 15 minutes. The only
negative was that he needed to take more of the pills as time went on. He
went from one pill/day to about 2 - 3/day in about a 2-year time period.
His DBS surgery has stopped all dyskinesias so that he no longer needs the
Amantadine.
