Carole, I don't know best place to go for DBS on East Coast but I can tell you if I hadn't had DBS I would probably be dead by now. For the past 4 years my tremors are under control at the expense of losing my voice. Fine motor skills are still shot, difficult to walk, but I don't seem to have gotten any worse since I had it done (twice) - drilling 2 holes just once and a repositioning of electrode in left brain. I don't take ANY PD meds,, so yes I can say it was certainly worth it. Good luck, Ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carole Hercun" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, May 07, 2007 7:57 AM Subject: ? re: DBS on East Coast, USA > Hello All, > I am at the point in the progression of my PD where I am > seriously concerning DBS surgery.
